Harry Wilson suffered the worst fate in football as Wales were knocked out of World Cup qualifying with a penalties defeat to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Wilson dazzled all night in Cardiff and set up Dan James’ excellent goal in the second half before almost turning provider for a second time. In extra time he also came close once again but in the end the game went to penalties. There, Wilson scored his penalty but misses from Brennan Johnson and Neco Williams saw Wales lose on penalties and their World Cup dream come to an end. There was some good news for a Fulham player though, as Denmark eased to a 4-0 win over North Macedonia, even without Joachim Andersen. The Dane was suspended due to too many yellow cards but he will now be eligible to play in the playoff final against Czechia on Tuesday night for a spot in the World Cup.
