Leeds United came back from 1-9 down to pick up a 1-1 draw on the road against Tottenham Hotspur.
Mathys Tel scored the opener on 50 minutes with a thunderstrike nestling into the top corner of Karl Darlow’s net.
Leeds responded with two substitutes and never looked back, a foul on Ethan Ampadu by goalscorer Tel was enough for Jarred Gillet to give the penalty, and it was the England striker, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who stepped up and dispatched expertly.
Leeds went on to control the game till the final whistle, with Sean Longstaff having a chance to win the game late-on, but a world class save by Kinsky kept the scores level, and just maybe kept Spurs in the Premier League.
The drama didn’t stop there either, Lukas Nmecha left a stray leg out in his own box, stripping up James Maddison in the last minute. But a review from VAR declared it non-punishable, with the replay showing the German attacker got the slightest of touches on the ball first.
