Harvey Elliott To Be Given Preseason Chance But Nothing For Certain

Speaking at his first press conference, new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola said: "Definitely, Harvey is here with us right now. He's shown eagerness to get himself ready. He will have a chance in pre-season."

Elliott had a difficult season on loan at Aston Villa last year, who refused to play him due to a contract clause that would make the deal permanent.

Iraola added that Elliott has returned early and has been training with the under-21s but gave no further indication that Elliott will definitely be a Liverpool player come the end of the transfer window.
