Ayden Heaven might not be in the Champions League Squad

With Carrick's turnaround it was able to propel United into the Champions League for the first time in three years, but some of UEFA's registration rules could make life awkward for Carrick, giving him some big decisions.

UEFA require that clubs can have 17 players who have been nurtured outside of their association in their 25-man squads.

Within the other eight places, teams can have up to four trained at clubs other than the one they play for currently and four that have come through the club's academy and are over 21.

Ayden Heaven, who signed from Arsenal two years ago, will be classified as one of the main 17 players, making it fairly difficult to see a way Heaven can get in.
