Caitlin Clark said Saturday she's preparing like the season will tip off May 8 as scheduled. Breanna Stewart wasn't so sure.

"I think it'll be tight," Stewart said. "Even if we do come to a resolution sooner rather than later, these other things that need to happen need a moment. You shouldn't have to rush the expansion draft or free agency."

With an expansion draft, free agency, a collegiate draft, and training camp all still to execute, the window is shrinking fast.

The league has set March 10 as a target date, and if it passes without a deal, the 30th season is at risk of being delayed.
