With the March 10 deadline approaching and neither side making major economic concessions, Caitlin Clark floated a pretty straightforward solution Saturday at USA Basketball training camp.

"I don't understand why we don't just get in a room and iron it out and shake hands," Clark said, via Front Office Sports. "That's how business is. You look each other in the eye, you shake hands, you respect both sides." Breanna Stewart backed her up, saying she'd sit in a room for hours if that's what it takes to get a deal done.

It sounds simple, but both sides have been going back and forth for months with progress measured in inches. The players submitted their latest counter to the league Friday night, and there's still no deal in sight.
