
Paige Bueckers scored 16 points in her first start for the senior national team, leading the Americans to a big 43-point win over Puerto Rico on Thursday. Angel Reese came off the bench to add 10 points and 13 rebounds. Kiki Iriafen also started for the first time and made all five of her shots for 10 points. The U.S. shot 51.5% from the field and had 28 assists. Coach Kara Lawson praised the team's unselfish play. Puerto Rico forced 18 turnovers and kept competing, but the U.S. stayed in control. The team will rest on Friday before playing Italy on Saturday.
