Which players do you want to see Portland and Toronto target in Friday's expansion draft?
We haven't seen the WNBA add two teams at once since 2000. Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, the Fire and the Tempo officially start building.
Portland gets the first expansion pick after Toronto won the coin toss and opted for the sixth slot in the April 13 college draft instead. Two rounds, six picks apiece, pulling from whoever the existing teams left off their protection lists.
Unprotected lists dropped March 29. Real players are available. Each team also gets one crack at an unrestricted free agent — and landing her means getting a supermax offer in before the rest of the league can even pick up the phone.
Friday doesn't finish either roster. Free agency and the college draft are both still ahead. But the players Portland and Toronto pick up today are the ones they'll be building around and trading from.
Who do you want to see each team grab?
