The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football and Mike Tomlin's group might be shorthanded on offense.
The Steelers have added RB Jaylen Warren to the injury report. Warren is dealing with an illness and he's questionable to face the Dolphins.
Warren has 652 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns on the season. He's carried the ball 159 times for the Steelers, who are 7-6.
Pittsburgh has to beat Miami to stay in first place in the AFC North. The Dolphins are 6-7 and struggle in cold weather games, so the Steelers should win.
With QB Aaron Rodgers leading the way, the Steelers are averaging 23.7 points per game. That's good for 14th in the NFL. Rodgers has 2,370 passing yards and 20 passing touchdowns.
The Steelers haven't won a playoff game since the 2016 season, which is why some fans want Tomlin fired. According to Pro Football Talk, the Steelers are two wins away from having a winning season for the 22nd consecutive year.
The Steelers must decide whether to pick up the option on Tomlin's contract by March 1, according to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN.
There will be organizational meetings and decisions that occur, but not until after this season, with a full body of work for all appropriate parties to review, per Schefter. It's worth noting that nobody in the Steelers' organization nor around the NFL expects Pittsburgh to fire Tomlin.
After all, the Steelers haven't fired a head coach since 1968.
