Wisconsin does not have legal marijuana or even legal medical marijuana, but it does have an unregulated market for intoxicating hemp-derived cannabinoids—at least for the time being—and now one of the most important sets of theatrical and concert venues in the state, the Pabst Theater Group, has announced that such products will henceforth be available for its patrons' enjoyment.
In Madison, lawmakers are debating whether to ban or regulate intoxicating cannabinoids, but in Milwaukee, the Pabst Group isn't waiting for a political consensus to be reached. It has announced a partnership with the local hemp group Kind Oasis to offer gummies, mints, and peanut butter cups infused with hemp-derived THC to theatergoers enjoying its dramatic, comedy, and musical offerings.
Gummies, peanut butter cups, and mints infused with hemp-derived THC are now available at Pabst Theater Group venues, thanks to a partnership with Milwaukee-based Kind Oasis. Kind Oasis is offering gummies of varying strengths, as well as mints with 2 milligrams of THC and 5-milligram peanut butter cups.
The products will be available at all six group venues: the Pabst Theater, the Riverside Theater, the Miller Highlife Theater, the Turner Hall Ballroom, the Vivarium, and the Fitzgerald.
"Kind Oasis is a family-run, local business that shares our obsession with hospitality and community," said Pabst Theater Group CEO Gary Witt. "By bringing their plant-based wellness and high-quality hemp products into our venues, we’re offering our fans a unique, modern way to unwind and enjoy the show. It’s another example of how we can work together with local innovators to make Milwaukee a world-class destination for live entertainment, while keeping the experience authentic, local and deeply personal."
The East Side-based Kind Oasis creates its products in a Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP)-certified production facility and an infusion kitchen.
"More people are choosing to be intentional about how they experience live events," said Shaun Ridder, brand operations manager for Kind Oasis. "Our partnership with Pabst Theater Group reflects a shared commitment to offering thoughtful, responsible alternatives that enhance the moment—so guests can enjoy the music, the energy, and the night on their own terms."
