The average transaction fee for Bitcoin has reached its lowest level in nearly two years to settle at $1,039, the figure recorded in June 2020.
The Bitcoin transaction fee is the cost of transferring any amount of Bitcoin, in direct proportion to the time taken to validate and complete the transaction.
According to Blockchain.com, the average bitcoin transaction fee has seen a significant drop from its high of $62,788 in April 2021, before dropping in eight months to an average of $2 in July 2021.

The average bitcoin transaction fee peaked in December 2017, when the coin hit $54,638, and the sudden rise in transaction fees at that time reflects the dramatic drop in the bitcoin network's hash rate.
The highly resilient Bitcoin network is believed to be able to process secure Bitcoin transactions at lower costs, as the currency's price volatility has shown greater stability between $35,000 and $45,000 over the course of the year.
