Crypto BanterThe world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance has removed more than 1.8 million BNB from circulation, completing its 19th quarterly BNB burn.
Changpeng Zhao told Binance's CEO that the burning process proves the deflationary nature of the asset.
Binance announced Operation Burn Number 19 , April 19th
The company sent 1,830,382 BNB (more than $741 million at the time of the transaction) to a wallet that can only receive cryptocurrencies but none of them (dead wallet).
Regardless of giving the society transparency and predictability, the process is estimated to have a deflationary effect.
For BNB, the goal of the coin-burning events is to gradually reduce the total supply until it reaches less than 100 million BNB.
In a recent tweet, the president of Binance “CZ” doubled down on this concept and emphasized it.
In a subsequent post, CZ justified the Binance initiative, saying it was written into the white paper and as such, the team is dedicated to following up on the proceedings every three months.
It is worth noting that this process often has a bullish impact on the valuation of BNB.
Like many other cryptocurrencies, Binance is doing well today, trading at around $420 (3% increase in the past 24 hours).
The previous burn (Q4 2021) occurred in January.
At the time, Binance had burned nearly $800 million in BNB and removed it from circulation.

Crypto BanterThe performance of the Netflix stock price in 2022 was worse than the performance of the most popular digital currency, Bitcoin, BTC this year, as Netflix stock has lost 57% since January 1, 2022 when it was at its peak this year at $597.37.
In comparison, the bitcoin price has fallen by 11% overall since its 2022 opening at $46,319 to $41,288 according to CoinGeKo, reflecting higher stability in bitcoin's movements against Netflix stock.
The latest fluctuations in the Netflix stock were driven by negative news that Netflix lost about 200,000 customers in the first quarter of 2022, with expectations that it will lose more numbers, up to two million more subscribers.
Which prompted investors to dispose of their Netflix shares in post-session trading, bringing the price of Netflix shares down by almost 25%, at 258.90 per share, at the same time as the price of Bitcoin is rising in the cryptocurrency market.

Crypto BanterBilly Marcus, creator of one of the most popular memecoins on the crypto market, also known as “Shibetoshi Nakamoto,” shared a cynical price prediction and gave hope to some DOGE investors as the tweet below explains:
But while some crypto novices felt some reassurance, the creator of Dogecoin quickly clarified his message, saying he meant the Hong Kong dollar, not the US dollar.
Some investors did not welcome the sarcastic nature of the tweet as they expressed their frustration with Dogecoin's performance in the market in the last 300 days.
Since August last year, DOGE is now showing signs of recovery and mostly losing value rather than gaining it.
Recently, Dogecoin surprised its investors with a strong 20% after Elon Musk stated that he was willing to buy Twitter, which seemed like positive news for DOGE who was famously admired by the entrepreneur.
