EGYPTIAN GOOSE

I think they are such beautiful birds and I love their brown tones.  This one was enjoying the sunny day and walking in the water.

Egyptian Geese are native to Africa south of the Sahara and the Nile Valley.  They are predominantly herbivores and they eat seeds of grasses, shoots, leaves and aquatic plants. We have a whole flock of them in the area and they often fly over the neighbourhood but the tend to love the little creek close by.
