Emerging Australian cricketer Will Pucovski has reportedly been compelled to end his professional career at just 26 years old, according to a report from Nine News on Thursday.

As per the report, the young talent will bring his promising career to a close following recommendations from the medical panel. Throughout his career, he has experienced numerous injuries, primarily concussions from head impacts.

However, it wasn't only the concussions that contributed to Will Pucovski's early retirement; according to a medical panel in 2022, some of his head injuries were determined not to be "true concussions" but were likely associated with stress or trauma.

I think in March 2024, Will Pucovski suffered a concussion and had to retire hurt after being hit by a delivery from Riley Meredith during a Sheffield Shield match.

Will Pucovski acknowledged that the ongoing injuries have significantly affected his mental well-being.
