Pakistan captain Shan opens up on Imam's future in Tests

Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood on Tuesday, broke silence on left-handed opener Imam-ul-Haq’s future in Test cricket.
Imam, who was a regular part of Pakistan’s Test side since their tour to Australia in late 2023, was left out of the Pakistan squad for the two-match home series against Bangladesh, starting Wednesday.

I believe that Shan Masood's statement regarding Imam-ul-Haq's exclusion from the Pakistan squad for the upcoming series against Bangladesh indicates a strategic decision rather than a permanent change. The emphasis on Imam-ul-Haq still being part of the team's plans suggests that his absence is more of a rest period rather than a definitive removal from the Test cricket scene. This approach allows for the exploration of new talent like Saim Ayub and Mohammad Huraira while keeping Imam-ul-Haq in consideration for future matches.
