Russian missiles land in Poland killing two
Good night everyone. I am hoping that everyone had a good day. My day was busy but it was good. Two persons have been killed in Poland allegedly after missiles landed near the Ukrainian border, there is no official confirmation but if this is true I think this can lead to more trouble as it is a another country that has been touched and people are not going to take it lightly if you try and get into their territory. It is never a nice thing if someone is killed people get real angry and people would be scared if more of it happens in their country. Let's see how it goes. I hope it does not lead to another war. Savings
Hello everyone. I trust that everyone is having a good time in whatever state they are in. I want to talk a little about savings. It is important to save. To save for your future, in case there is an emergency, in case you need to help someone etc. It is not always easy to save I think you need to make a special effort and have a determination to save, if you are not careful something always wants to come up to prevent you from saving. Saving comes with discipling. It is good when spouses help each other to save if one spouse has a hard time saving the other spouse can help that partner to save because they need to have a balance Flora

Guyana does not need visa for UK
Hello everyone. I trust you healthy and strong. Beginning from the 9, November, 2022 people who have a Guyanese passport do not need a visitor's visa to travel to the United kingdom. This is to strengthen government to government and the relationship between the two countries. Some Guyanese feel there is a catch in it, some people feel it is because of the oil that Guyana now possesses. I don't know the reason for it but if Guyanese are interested they can travel to the UK without a visitor's visa. Some Guyanese have families in the UK that they have not seen for many years so if they can afford the ticket they can have a chance to go. Flora

Owning of land
Good morning to everyone. I do wish everyone a fantastic Sunday. May your day be truly blessed. I would like to talk a little about land ownership. Land is important, sometimes it is difficult for people to get land, whenever you have a piece of land it should be yours (the title of the land should be in your name). In some places even though the land was bought by you it's still not yours, the house on the land is yours but not the land itself, the land belongs to the country but I would want my land to be mine. I want my land and house in name so just in case of anything, Flora

DR Congo Colonels get death penalty for murder of Chinese workers
There are six people including two army colonels that were sentenced to death as four others were given ten years in jail in relation to the killings of the two Chinese mine workers. These killings happened in the Congo Republic. The fact that these persons who allegedly did the killings are military people and they are sentenced to death is surprising. I am wondering if this had happened in a Chinese country and these men had done this, I wonder if the Chinese court would have put those men to death. If these men did a wrong thing I do agree that they should pay for their crime but it should alotted in every country no matter who the person or persons are. Commiting crimes is never a good thing and it is going on too much in the world today. Flora

Halloween costumes
Good afternoon everyone. I hope everybody is doing fine. I want to talk a little about halloween it is a celebration that I know to be in the united states. Guyana never celebrated halloween in years before but Guyana is now celebrating halloween. In my opinion I do not halloween I do not like the costumes that are scary and people use them to rob people, some people have murdered people using those costumes at halloween. Every time it is celebrated in opinion the atmosphere seems evil. I have never celebrated halloween and I never will. Flora

U.S about venezuelan migrants
Hello everyone again. I have been seeing these news lately about migrants. The u.s will take in some venezuelans but will send most back to Mexico. There are people from Venezuela and some from Columbia. Reasons why these people are leaving their countries to move to other countries are because of the lack of food. Many venezuelans and are in Guyana as well because of the lack of simple commodities that are used on a daily basis. Some also escape because of violence. A lot of these migrants crossed the borders into America. They would do that because they see America as a country of opportunities. If people cannot get the basic necessities then they will run. Nobody likes to starve. Food and water are necessary for living. I cannot blame them for wanting a better life than they are having. Flora

The purpose of university
A pleasant afternoon to everyone on the BBS platform. It is okay to go to university. Education is good. When parents pay to have their children have their education it is a very good thing. The thing is though when some persons go to university and after spending years at university they cannot get the job or pay that they are qualified for and that is the sad part. Some people are working jobs that they did not study for because those are the only jobs that are available. It is good to go to university but do not put your trust and confidence in university thinking that as long you study at university that everything is alright. Flora

Nigeria's flood
Good night to all my BBS folks. Hello people. Nigeria has floods that have caused the quite a few deaths. The authorities said the number of people who were killed because of the floods are more than five hundred persons. The floods have been ravaging the country in recent weeks. There are more than 1,500 people that have been wounded and 1.4 million persons were displaced. Imagine the devastation. All these floods at different parts of the earth is quite alarming. The floods have been caused by heavy rains as well as the release of excess waters from dams within Nigeria and a major dam in neighbouring Cameroon by the authorities. I really hope these Nigerians get through with all that they have to do so that no one else will die. Flora

Jamaican music today
A special afternoon to all the of BBS household. Music is suppose to soothing for the soul, in fact some are soothing to the soul and some music are not soothe to the soul in my opinion. Let's talk a little about the Jamaican music of today. Jamaicans can sing in the olden we heard music that had great messages like Bob Marley, even the dancehall music had words that you could have listened to but today a lot of the dancehall music in my opinion is dirty (the words). I am not saying all of them. The reggae is still pretty decent but some of the dancehall is are too vulgar and the words are too violent. Music should send a good message. Flora

Russia and Ukraine
Goodnight to the BBS platform. I know some people are asleep. When it comes to Russia and Ukraine my views are they should be finished with the war. Look at how much chaos the war has caused. It would be good if the two countries come to a proper decision and finish the whole thing. I think Russia's president looks as if he knows what he doing and he looks as he if he saying he knows he will win. The man looks confident. A lot of countries alleged that the war between Russia and Ukraine caused the inflation, basic food items are expensive. I believe that the people in these two countries would be glad for the war to be over. Flora

Going to jail
Hello my BBS friends. Saying hello to everyone. I have heard about jail it sounds like a scary place. I have heard so many stories about that place But there are a lot of innocent people in jail. Some people have this idea in their minds that if someone goes to jail it means that he or she is guilty but that is not always the case. There are people who were innocent that came out of jail because of it. It is sad that they went in there in the first place. Some went in one way and we're never the same again I guess everyone who went in have different experiences. Not because people are in jail means they should be treated badly. They should be treated like humans. It is very heartbreaking for the families as well. Nobody wants their family to go to jail. Flora Flora

Good afternoon to all
A pleasant day to everyone. How is everybody feeling ? I hope it is a good feeling you are all having. Today I was thinking about all that I have to do. It can be an overwhelming feeling especially when you think about all that you have to do but I have learnt from my father to live one day at a time. When he first said it I used to saying to myself oh my I don't feel like hearing that but I have come to realize that he absolutely correct and it is a key point in life and some people took on too many things and took in with a stroke and other diseases. So I decided to put my faith, trust and confidence in GOD while doing what I have to do and take one day at a time. Flora

Healthy foods
Hello people. I am saying goodnight again to everyoneWe must take care of the bodies that GOD has given to us. The older we get the better we need to take care of our bodies. I have found that the healthy foods that are good for our bodies those are the foods that are not really enjoyable but the vegetables that are shown here are some of the real healthy foods for our bodies. I eat all of these foods from time to time except corilla it is really good for your body but I don't like it but everyone should take a good look at his or her health. Flora

Places of worship
Good afternoon everyone. Everybody good? I do hope so. Where is your place of worship? Mine is a Church building. I love going there every Sunday. I meet with my LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST anywhere I am because HE lives in me. I love to fellowship with my Christian brothers and sisters. Where I am from we have Christians, Muslims and Hindus. Buildings like these the Muslims in my country go to worship every Friday. I do admire their dedication to stop whatever they are doing when it is their prayer time, doesn't matter who they are in front of they ask for an excuse, spread their mat, kneel right there in front of you and pray. And the Hindus Where I am from Hindus worship in the Hindu temples. The women put on their saries 🥻and go to their place of worship, the men and children go with them too. These are the places of worship people in my country go to worship. Flora

Hurricane Ian
I hope everyone is having a good day. Some people maybe now having breakfast 🥐 have a healthy oneHurricane Ian is causing a havock in some places. Many people had to move and relocate how difficult that must be, to be living somewhere for a long time and then you have to move. The death toll because of this hurricane is so difficult to accept. It is extremely sad. Look at the disaster the hurricane caused I saw videos of water gushing into people's houses and their furniture floating around and to see how high the water is reaching almost to people's cupboard tops. Despite the signs of hurricane that some people had they did not move because they couldn't, some were wondering where will they go. Man it is really heart breaking. Flora
