Growth Seeding Wave One Review & Tag Limit - Feedback Draw Event!

Hello BBSers! 

It’s been a week now since we launched Wave One of the Growth Seeding program and the results speak for themselves! We’re also implementing a comment tag limitation to prevent excessive tagging. 

Your feedback on these topics is needed, and to reward those who give their feedback we will be randomly selecting 14 comments to win prizes! $25 BBS tokens to 4 random commenters providing feedback, and $50 METABBS to 10 random commenters providing feedback!

Wave One of Growth Seeding has been a resounding success, some of the boards selected for growth seeding even saw over 4x their previous activity levels!

The growth many of the boards have seen is fantastic, and we’re looking forward to running future waves to promote as many quality boards as possible!

Even after the $1000 budget was exhausted on MNFTC and LUKDREA, they still see much higher activity levels than they previously had!

What do you think could be improved for the next wave?

Starting today, a comment with over 5 tags will not send notifications to the tagged users. This is being put into place to limit excessive tagging within comments, as we’ve seen a lot of feedback from users getting frustrated with the amount of tags they’re receiving, and have seen cases of tags being used to inflate post activities. If anyone genuinely has more than 5 people they need to tag for a post, please do so in another comment. This also helps ensure that notifications that happen after the tags are limited to smaller groups.

The team is also prioritizing development of a new feature to Mute notifications from selected users’ tags, which will allow users to stop receiving notifications from users they don’t want to receive them from.
