Engagement Mining 3rd Round: What's the state of play? Some opinions and further thoughts.🙏

Well, that time is nearly upon us and Mr. 0x + team and of course METABBS will make an announcement very shortly (Maybe Monday or Tuesday?)😲 along with another nice transparent post as to why approval and removal of boards.🙏

As can be seen from the table above: Green: Currently EM approved, Blue: EM application in, Red: No EM application. So from this top 20, and AFAIK below 20 there are no contenders, there are 9 boards that are approved and 6 that have an EM application and await approval. So let's break this down from Best to worse.😎

Safe.

MNFTC, MWATALK, SPORTX as the top three have quite good engagement on a consistent basis. GAMTECH in 5th I would consider safe, though quite lower in engagement by simple post count etc. they are consistently staying above 10+10 (10+10: "10 topical posts by 10 unique users on a daily basis as a basic criteria"). However, when I say "safe" I cannot judge for myself whether "all" these boards would be deemed in satisfying "Meaningful Engagement", and thus this is also another consideration for removal by 0x and team ...only they can be the final judge of that in this 3rd round.🙄

The final "safe" is CHARTS: Now this board has decent post count and as far as I know stays above the10 unique users consistently. However, and this has been pointed out in the weekly chat and in some odd comments here and there on Metabbs, the lack of meaningful engagement. Many post have zero comments and some have 1 comment, only a handful exceed that. I'm not sure how much 0x and team will view this as a reason for removal as this board has only recently increased in volume due to outside promotion, and thus would it be wise to remove at this juncture? 🤔

Hopeful and possible.(For EM approval).

SATIVA I marked as hopeful this time around, as in the 2nd round was denied approval and reasons were put forth why. After chatting with CryptoRasta, the board owner, some 2 weeks ago, he feels that their overall engagement has improved and that previous issues have been addressed. Thus, he feels that this round may well be successful. Indeed SATIVA has remained right up the top of this list for the last 2 months consistently also which is a good testament to the members there continuing this board without EM approval for so long.😍

INDFAM, has made a second application for EM approval about a month ago after changing it's core topic from movies to cricket. Although on the low side for posts, they do indeed appear to be fulfilling 10+10 for quite some time, thus possible as long as the member base and meaningful engagement is adequate in the eyes of 0x and team. 🙄

BBSMATE, was denied 2nd round and maybe has a chance this round. However, the 10+10 flounders a bit and is not consistent. On this particular point though, I would hope it's not absolutely rigid as many boards have a "bad day" and I'm not sure if 0x and team take an average over the longer term of the daily average in these 'borderline' cases.🙄

Borderline and Removal as to 10+10.

Both BANTER and VILLA have been hovering around the 10+10 mark for quite some time now; some days just below, some days just above. These once thriving boards which really did make up the baulk of traffic of BBS (esp. Banter over Villa) have gone super quiet. Part of this is also due to the crypto-winter we find ourselves in along with general member numbers some 75% down post "Great reset" across BBS. Market. Again, does 0x and team view these boards for removal or IMO at this point leave them alone? Hopefully when the crypto market bounces then too the interest will return for these two board as places to talk about crypto; if they're gone it won't bode well for BBS in the long-term.🙄

The case of THEORY is a bit of an outlier in my opinion. Yes, this board is consistently failing the 10+10 and can be viewed for the last week as every single day. However, the Star wars board was the very first board to be on BBS. Market and essentially put BBS 'on the map' even before Metabbs was established too. Would it be fair to take this board out of the EM program given it's historic status? Again, how rigid are the rules is for 0x and team to decide.😎

No approval, 10+10.

DGBAR, SHAREIT, CHICKEN have all failed to meet basic 10+10 criteria on a daily basis over the last month and thus I am of the opinion of that their EM applications will be denied.

In conclusion.

So, there's all 14 boards that I consider to be in the running for both approval and removal in this 3rd EM round. METABBS as the admin board is exempt from removal as 0x stated in a weekly meet some weeks back. 4 other boards have no EM application in thus I would safely 'assume' that they would not be approved as no request has been duly made.👍

1 other board LUKDREA was removed on Monday some 6 days ago due to reasons as posted on Metabbs that day and is not eligible to apply for this round but can of course re-apply for the 4th round at then end of November with a 'new' application. However, it is quite clear from the crashing down of numbers in a week: From Saturday 1,493 regulation impressions to 79 impressions, and 248 posts to 18 posts yesterday (94.7% & 92.7% respectively) that since the removal occurred on Monday that it was indeed all about the $$$ and not as to interest/engagement garnered of a shared topic as in comparison to the never die attitude of Sativa who are patiently waiting in the EM wings.😎

So, above is one man's opinion and please feel to add/agree/disagree/ and any other thoughts to what you may think the outcome will be shortly of the 3rd EM round. Feel free to comment on any of the specific boards above too especially if you think my opinion is off and want to add more to these ideas/opinions above. Get engaged is the key, so comment.🙏

I like to anticipate what may happen and sure it doesn't mean I'm right, but I wish all current boards that are approved to stay approved, and I wish the best of luck to all others that seem eligible for EM too. 🙏 I hope also that 0xreclamation and his team read this too.😍
