It took me quite a while to get this post done because every time I started watching clips I just lost it all over again😔 It's a long video I made, i'm not sorry 😅I didn't expect to be so upset over the death of someone I never met, but the truth is, if you're a big fan of friends, it wasn't just a TV show, these guys really felt like your friends.

Matthew Perry died far too young, probably related to his long, open and well documented history with addiction. He never shyed away from sharing his story and trying to help others through it too. He had an incredible talent not just as an actor but in always making people laugh.

Matthew Perry played Chandler Bing, the sarcastic funny guy in Friends. So many of the funniest moments in Friends was down to his comments and his storylines. His line "and I just want a million dollars!" is one of his most famous and set his character up in the first episode. For me, that clip is what I think of as THE start of Friends, it just sums up so much.

Second clip is with the infamous Janice. Chandler and her had a long on and off suffering relationship, she showed all of his flaws and inability to commit to women or have a steady relationship. Lots of really funny moments happened with Janice in the first few seasons. The third clip is just an ode to the Joey and Chandler relationship🥰 Then just some iconic funny Chandler moments. In every episode the was something from him that just really made you laugh. So often his one liners summarised much of the episode.

Joey and Chandler's chairs! So many good memories those guys had in the old chairs and then these new ones. One episode was filmed with them entirely in the chairs too! So many great Friends laughs here.

Of course I included my all time favourite scene where Ross bursts into the room not knowing his sister Monica is there and she and Chandler had hooked up the previous night. I was SHELL SHOCKED at this. It was such a pivitol moment for Friends, and for Chandler's character to finally fall in love! And damn it was so funny too. Followed by Chandler saying for the first time that he loves Monica, something he never said to a woman before. Their wedding which just epitomises the growth of Chandler's character from the start of Friends where he couldn't keep a girlfriend to now, committing and finally being in love with his best friend. He was no longer just the funny guy but had shown his love, strength, committment and loyalty. His was one of the deepest and most developed characters in Friends.

After later finding out they cannot conceive, they are able to adopt a baby and it's surprise twin too. All these scenes were such huge moments, I guess if you don't know them you might not realise how huge they were. And this is how the final episode of the 10 seasons end, really with Chandler and Monica leaving NY city with their babies to start a new family life. The time for Friends has ended and the new chapter of Family has begun.

FRIENDS showed just a snapshot of some of the best years of anyone's life and Chandler was probably the most relatable and enjoyable character for most to watch. No series of clips could be complete without the opening credits (this one from season 1) and the famous I'll be there for you song. Of course they always were there for so many of us. Then we see the very final scene from the 10th season and it was Chandler who ended the show with a joke which still makes me simultaneously laugh and cry.

The final clip is a goodbye to Mr Heckles, who the most OG Chandler fans will relate to. Mr Heckles was a hateful neighbour who use to bang on his roof at the friends above to keep the noise down. When he died, Chandler had to help clear out his apartment and realised Mr Heckles had been the funny guy like him. Mr Heckles had died alone and miserable, and it was a big turning point for Chandler to make a conscious effort to try and find a wife and some happiness for himself.
