Captain America: Civil War (2016) | Nattosheru ReviewCaptain America: Civil War (2016) | Nattosheru Review

Hello superhero fans. Today I want to talk to you about one of the best movie trilogies I have ever seen in my life. A masterpiece that at the time made quite an impact on the world of cinema and popular culture worldwide and is still giving a lot to talk about today. Concluding as the third film of the famous Marvel Comics character, Steve Rogers (Captain America), this film was produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The film was once again directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo. The cast is made up of Chris Evans as the main character, in addition to a large number of actors such as Sebastian Stan, Scarlett Johanson, Robert Downey Jr, Elizabeth Olsen, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, etc. A movie that entertained a whole big community of fans and made history, as no other superhero movie of this style has ever done before.

Plot

The movie shows us Steve Rogers (Captain America), Sam Wilson (Falcon), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) and Wanda Maximoff (Scarlet Witch) together on a mission to stop a gang of terrorists led by Crossbones, who seeks to steal a biological weapon in Lagos, Nigeria. After a fierce fight against this group and their dangerous leader, he decides to commit suicide and tries to take Steve and the people around him with him. Wanda tries to keep the people away while trying to control the explosion of the weapon with her powers, but by mistake it explodes in a nearby building where several victims die, members of a country called Wakanda.

At Avengers headquarters in the United States, they receive a visit from Secretary of State Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, who comes with Antony "Tony" Stark (Iron Man) to talk about what happened in Lagos. However, this incident is not the only one, according to the secretary, who reminds them of the incidents that occurred in the first two movies of "The Avengers", where among the battles and the chaos they have caused in multiple countries, there were always dead and wounded. And that's when he proposes an "Agreement" made in Sokovia and approved by more than 100 countries where they force the group of heroes to become an international body monitored and regulated by these nations.

Trailer & Review

Next, I will leave you the trailer of the movie:

Beyond being a good superhero movie, this third official Captain America installment is an entire odyssey mixed with a good number of relevant characters, but with a heartfelt and very well constructed plot and story. This premise that this work presents us with is very interesting, due to the fact that something like this has never been seen before in the world of cinema, at least not on this scale. And it is not only this, the performances, the action scenes, the special effects, the way the story is developed, the reasons given for each confrontation, the relationships that are formed and destroyed along the way, all this makes this film an unforgettable experience, without a doubt. Of course, despite having a good number of cameos, this film stands as the best trilogy that can be found and seen of a superhero movie to this day.

Despite the huge cast of characters that appear, these for some reason do not completely overshadow the prominence given to Steve Rogers (Captain America), who, after everything that happened in his previous film, is now in search of his old best friend (Bucky Barnes), who in turn is his greatest enemy. After the events that occur in this movie, anyone would think that this character was both selfish and insensitive in making the decisions we see, but it is a matter of each one what to think and what conclusion to take, after seeing it complete. Being such a hero, an image of peace for the world and a guide, all this will turn against him when the past chases him and finds him, making him make very difficult decisions. This film will make you think a lot about certain issues such as the sense of justice and the value of life.

The participation of the other actors, apart from Chris Evans, in each and every one of their characters is also something quite commendable. Geniuses such as Robert Downey Jr, Chadwick Boseman and Sebastian Stan did an excellent job in their roles. With a story that binds all the characters in a single dilemma, which will later make them fight each other and turn what was once a great superhero team into a sudden 'Civil War'. The role that the villain has, as well as all the other characters, is something of value, especially when taking one of the sides that are in the film. And, of course, the influence it had on the public and the culture was so great that even today there is still an argument about which command is the right one (Team Iron Man or Team Captain America).

Now, as for the special effects, this is not something less in this film, which became one of the highest grossing films in history for many obvious reasons. The impressive work they had in terms of special effects, CGI and sound effects is incredible, even today you can appreciate and enjoy a quality that can be put above most of the movies and series that has been released by Marvel Studios recently. And at that time, the superhero production company achieved an almost perfect formula by mixing so many elements and characters without losing the essence of the film. But, something that fascinates me above all the above, are the different action scenes and fights that this masterpiece has, which are still remembered either by the visual effects, the incredible choreography, the soundtrack or the same way the characters perform. In the end, this movie is one that I recommend watching, if you have already seen the previous Captain America movies.

Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating as far as the action/sci-fi/superhero genre is concerned.

Tell me, have you seen this movie, what did you think of it? You can leave me your answer in the comments.

All the best.
