Had to make my own little funny edit of this scene š¤ but this was my favourite scene of the whole movie. I loved that you could see so much of Bella's character and development, the physical limits of her Frankenstein body, coupled with the mental impairment of having the brain of a developing infant/child. The movement from Emma Stone is insane, how perfectly she has portrayed that all while dancing. It has such a fun innocence to it while at the same time we can see that it is socially awkward for others. I found it fascinating how Duncan is drifting between having fun with her, allowing her to be herself and being a little carefree too, and then remembering high society's glares and trying to control Bella and the situation. This was the point that he could have chosen a different life, and been with her fully by accepting her as she is and losing his own discomfort about how others perceive them.
