Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) | Nattosheru ReviewAvengers: Age of Ultron (2015) | Nattosheru Review

Hello superhero fans. Today I am going to talk to you about the sequel of "The Avengers", which managed to repeat the success of its predecessor, managing to make a masterpiece in terms of story, characters, scenes and incredible battles. In this second part we will see again the group of heroes of Marvel Comics fighting against a new enemy, who is one of the best they have done throughout its history. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film grossed more than 1.4 billion dollars worldwide, making it the fifth highest-grossing film in history. The film was written and directed by the great Joss Whedon, the same who directed the first installment, and this time we see a much larger cast than the previous one, among which are Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Samuel L. Jackson, and many more.

Plot

The movie starts with the Avengers group formed by Tony Stark (Iron Man), Steve Rogers (Captain America), Thor, Bruce Banner (Hulk), Natasha Romanoff (Black Widow) and Clin Barton; all together in Sokovia attacking the HYDRA fortress in order to recover the Scepter of Loki that is in the hands of Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker, who came to experiment with human beings with the power of the scepter. Among so many experiments, two of them were a complete and unique success, being the brothers Pietro Maximoff (who has developed super speed) and Wanda Maximoff (who has developed telekinesis and energy projection). During the battle, the Maximoff siblings fight the Avengers and later escape after Stucker is captured and the scepter is recovered.

At the Avengers' base, Tony and Bruce analyze Loki's Scepter, in which they discover a kind of artificial intelligence inside his gem. Stark asks Banner for help to use this artificial intelligence to complete the global defense program, "Ultron". And the genius and billionaire is going through a kind of paranoia after seeing a horrible vision of a possible second alien invasion, this after being exposed to Wanda's psychic powers. After finishing with the program, the tower holds a party for all members of the Avengers, including some guests, as a celebration of their victory against HYDRA. It is on that night that everyone is welcomed by Ultron, who seeks to annihilate humanity in order to fluvial his purpose of protecting the earth.

Trailer & Review

Next, I will leave you the trailer of the movie:

Many good things can be said about this super movie production that only Marvel Studios at its best has managed to achieve in more than one film. Whether it's the special effects and CGI, the characters, the plot, the action scenes, the incredible soundtrack or the incredible denouement at the end. We can talk about all this and more about this second installment of the most famous superhero team in the history of modern cinema. After seeing a film of such high caliber as the first "The Avengers", many were eagerly awaiting this sequel, which has undoubtedly pleased the majority.

While it is true that seeing the great Robert Downey Jr. star once again as Tony Stark in this movie is what I liked the most, his role and influence on the main plot of the film is very important. And this time the plot is far away from the theme of aliens or demigods looking to end the earth and go for a much more science fiction theme, which gives it that plus, personally. By experimenting with artificial intelligence drawn from such a powerful gem, Stark and Banner "play god" by creating a supposed "shield" that will protect the earth. However, their disbelief as to the complexity of what they did brought about one of the greatest villains I've ever seen played on the big screen.

Ultron is, without a doubt, the main reason why everyone surely went to see this movie. While it is true that the version we see in this sequel is not at all equal to what is known in Marvel Comics, it is true that it has a very impressive and appealing development and role. Starting with the theme that, in order to protect the earth, we must do away with humanity, being this the one that is causing such damage, it introduces us to a dilemma that makes us think quite a lot, all this while we see an endless sequence of battles and encounters with incredible special effects and a production quality that is fascinating. The interpretation of the other main characters are also well done, especially Robert Downey Jr, who as always stands out among all with an excellent job, of course.

We also see the participation of new characters, such as Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson as the Maximoff Brothers, who also stood out very well and performed roles that would lead them to total success in the world of cinema. Among other things, there are many unforgettable moments in this film that, like its predecessor, went down in history and are still remembered today. Scenes like the Hulk losing control, Tony controlling the green beast, the appearance of Ultron and the incredible final battle are moments that make this film a jewel of superhero cinema. All this, along with excellent special effects, sound effects, soundtrack and a high quality CGI - much better than what is now nine years later - make this sequel a complete audiovisual spectacle.

Personally, I give it a 9.5/10 rating as far as the sci-fi/action/superhero genre is concerned.

Tell me, have you seen this movie, what did you think of it? You can leave me your answer in the comments.

All the best.
