The right-wing position at Real Madrid is seemingly vacant at the moment following the recent ACL injury suffered by Rodrygo during Los Blancos' encounter against Getafe earlier this month.
The likes of Fede Valverde, Arda Guler, and Brahim Diaz have all been tried and tested on the right side of Madrid's attacking third, and all of these fantastic players looked to be out of place at times despite their brilliant performances.
Previously, players like Gareth Bale and Angel Di Maria made the right wing position their own with their scintillating assists and goals down the right-hand side during the previous decade at the club.
Now with Rodrygo out for the season and his uncertain future with Los Merengues, the club management would definitely be looking at options to fill in the void during the summer transfer window.
And according to TeamTALK (h/t Liverpool World), Los Blancos are interested in Bayern Munich star Michael Olise, who is already considered one of the best players in his position currently.
The Frenchman has already scored 15 goals and provided 27 assists for the Bavarian club in all competitions this season, with the 24-year-old sitting only behind Harry Kane and Luis Diaz in the club's scoring charts this season and sitting on top of the assists maker's list, with six assists more than second-placed Diaz.
Although Real Madrid is not the only club that is interested in signing the youngster, Liverpool was also rumoured to be enquiring about the youngster earlier this season.
The player's current contract at Bayern would expire in the summer of 2029, and his current club is unlikely to let the player go during the upcoming summer, but with the likes of Los Blancos and Liverpool knocking on the door, it might turn out to be a tough task for the Bundesliga side to hold on to one of their key players.
Olise is already rated as one of the best forwards to play the game right now, as the numbers speak for themselves, and now with the World Cup on the horizon, the player would be pumped up to make it into Didier Deschamps squad for the grand tournament during the summer.
Los Blancos would take on Olise's Bayern Munich in the quarterfinals of the Champions League next month, and it could well turn out to be an audition for the French international at the Bernabeu as the Whites carry on with their objective of winning their 16th UCL this campaign.
