As we have all observed, the transition phase at Real Madrid is an ongoing process. In the not-so-distant past, veterans like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and countless others had decided to move on from the club after a decade of entertaining the Santiago Bernabeu with their brilliant displays.
Los Blancos have meanwhile brought in some mesmerizing talents to replace their outgoing superstars, as the torch has now been passed to players like Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and others.
The club management is expected to move into the upcoming summer transfer window with a quite similar game plan, as they look to strengthen their squad for the next season after an inconsistent campaign this time around.
One player who could be on his way out of Madrid is Los Blancos' academy graduate and the senior most squad in the side this season, Dani Carvajal. The Spanish right back has found it hard this season to break into the starting eleven with a series of injuries and poor form seemingly marring his current campaign at the club.
Now, as explained by Mateo Moretto on Radio MARCA (h/t Madrid Universal), Carvajal already has offers on his table from a lot of clubs outside of Europe, with a probable exit looming around the corner.
For the past couple of seasons, the 34-year-old has failed to register even 1,000 minutes across all competitions, making only 12 appearances last season. This season, the number has risen to 17, which is astronomically low when compared to his records during his peak years at the club.
The Spaniard's demotion at Madrid is primarily linked to his two devastating injuries recently, a cruciate ligament tear in October 2024 and a knee injury in October 2025.
The six-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid has now been repeatedly pushed down the pecking order, first by Xabi Alonso when he seemed to prefer Fede Valverde over Carvajal, and now under Alvaro Arbeloa, it is Trent Alexander-Arnold who seems to be the former Los Blancos Player's first choice at the right back position currently.
Now with a number of academy graduates being promoted into the senior squad, it now looks unlikely for Carvajal to get into the starting 11 next season, which would definitely be on the back of his head as clubs in the MLS and Saudi Arabia look to be his most likely destination during the summer.
