Brain is constantly processing information even without your conscious awareness. Your gut feeling might be a result of your brain picking up on subtle cues or patterns that you haven't consciously noticed. Your gut feeling could be based on past experiences that your brain has stored away. These experiences might help you recognize certain situations or people that feel familiar even if you can't pinpoint why.

Intuition is often described as a gut feeling and its the ability to understand something instinctively without the need for conscious reasoning. Its like your brain's way of synthesizing information quickly and giving you a hunch about what to do.

Also our gut feeling might also be tied to our emotions. Sometimes our emotions can give us valuable insights into a situation even if we can't articulate why we feel a certain way.

So when people say trust your gut they are often encouraging you to listen to these subconscious cues and intuitive feelings because they can provide valuable guidance especially when your brain or heart might be clouded by biases or emotions.
