German industrial giant Siemens AG used JPMorgan's blockchain-based payment system, Onyx, and SWIAT's private blockchain to issue and settle a tokenized version of its commercial paper. Siemens issued €100,000 in crypto securities under Germany’s Electronic Securities Act on September 13, settling the payment within 93 seconds. JPMorgan’s Onyx network facilitated the payments using JPM Coin, while asset transfers occurred via SWIAT’s delivery-versus-payment mechanism. The collaboration between Onyx and SWIAT aims to speed up transactions and scale blockchain-based asset issuance for commercial banks. Source: Coindesk
