Hackers stole $409 million in crypto during Q3 2024, with an additional $3 million lost to fraud, marking a 40% decrease from 2023, according to Immunefi. Most losses stemmed from major hacks on centralized exchanges, including WazirX ($235 million) and BingX ($52 million). DeFi protocols, which hold $87.2 billion in total value locked, remain a prime target due to private key vulnerabilities. Ethereum was the most targeted blockchain with 15 incidents, followed by BNB Chain and Base.  Source: Coindesk
