Google has introduced a privacy-focused upgrade to its Wallet service using zero-knowledge proof technology for age verification. This allows users to confirm they're over a certain age without revealing personal details like their birthdate. Dating app Bumble is among the first to adopt the system, which uses blockchain-based cryptography and digital IDs issued via Google Wallet.  The system is now live and can be integrated into third-party apps through Google's Digital Credential API, signaling renewed interest in ZKP technology across the tech industry.
