One of World’s Largest Bitcoin Miners Reaches New HashrateOne of the globe’s biggest Bitcoin miners has achieved a new hashrate after its Argentina data mining center accelerated work in the sector.
This month saw 2,100 new miners affiliated with Bitfarms came online and reach a new milestone of 5 exahash per second (EH/s).
The mining center hopes to ramp up mining later this year and eventually reach 6 EH/s.
“This exciting moment reflects our team’s hard work over the last two years resulting in our largest, most advanced, and lowest cost facility,” Geoff Morphy, CEO of Bitfarms, said about the milestone.
Bitfarms also has operations across the U.S., Paraguay, and Canada, for a total of 10 facilities.
The company is also listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and Nasdaq.
