At the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, UK Reform Party leader Nigel Farage pledged to make the UK a crypto-friendly nation if elected prime minister in 2029. He unveiled the Crypto Assets and Digital Finance Bill, proposing to cut crypto capital gains tax to 10%, require the Bank of England to hold Bitcoin reserves, and ban banks from denying services based on crypto involvement. Farage, who linked his own debanking experience to the broader crypto movement, said the Reform Party now accepts crypto donations and positioned the party as anti-establishment and aligned with crypto’s ethos.
