Ripple co-founder Jed McCaleb is using his crypto fortune to build a private space station through his aerospace company, Vast Space. Self-funding the $1 billion project, McCaleb aims to launch Haven-1, a modular space station with artificial gravity, in partnership with SpaceX by 2026. His long-term goal is to create a viable replacement for the International Space Station, set for decommissioning in 2030. With Vast Space joining the private space race alongside companies like SpaceX and Blue Origin, McCaleb hopes to advance space habitation and research. Source: Decrypt
