While everyone seems happy with the follow feature for the most part, there are clearly some issues people have with the newly implemented feature. I propose a simple solution that I believe would alleviate the concerns some folks have. 
     In my opinion, the follow options should be available for the followed, not just the followers.

   As publishing is the the main focus of BBS, IMO notifications of post publishing in boards followers are members of should be the only option that can’t be switched off but all other options  should be made available for the followed as well as the followers. 
   If we look at the current version and change the context of how the follow features might be used for harassment, the “stalkers” have all the options while the “stalked” have none. Or change those terms to “trolls” and “trolled”…. Not to mention, with the ability to get notifications from boards followers aren’t members of, drama can now follow users to different boards. 
   While I think we all understand the positive benefits of the follow system, but without consideration for the privacy of the followed, it inherently comes with potential downsides. As BBS is trying to become something other than Facebook or Redddit, shouldn’t the follow system “follow” suit?
