Many writers don’t know how to find their voices but it’s easy if you follow the following steps.

Step 1:
Read a lot and read good writers. Reading is one of the best ways to find out about writing. It’s also the easiest way of learning new vocabulary, expressions and grammar structures.

Step 2:
Be attentive when reading. Watch out for words, phrases and expressions that catch your attention as you read. Highlight these in a notebook where you can record them later on. This will help you build up your own style based on what you have learned from other writers.

Step 3:
Practice Practice Practice. Writing is like any other skill, the more you practice, the better you get at it. Start by writing a few paragraphs every day and then increase it until it becomes a daily habit.
