Copywriting is a craft, and the best way to improve your craft is by learning from others.

1) Be clear: When you start a sentence with “it is…” or “there are…,” you’re making it hard for your reader to understand what you’re trying to say. Copywriters should always strive to be as clear as possible, even when it requires more effort.

2) Show, don’t tell: Instead of telling your audience you sell the best widgets in town, show them by giving an example of how one of your customers benefitted from buying your product.

3) Use concrete language: Try to use descriptive words that appeal to the senses instead of vague ones that make it hard for readers to imagine what you’re talking about. For example, instead of saying something like this product will make you feel good all day long, tell readers exactly how they will feel after using it
