Welcome to Transition 6 of the Engagement Mining program!
With the recent release of Version 4.2.0 and the addition of Super Comments, we're excited to bring some adjustments to the Engagement Mining approval criteria and the next transition of the Engagement Mining Program.
We've introduced an optional criterion that allows boards to qualify for the program with a 28-day average of 300 Daily Active Users (DAU). This addition is designed to accommodate more boards and give a greater inclusion to unregistered activity. For a comprehensive understanding of the criteria and application process, please refer to our Engagement Mining Criteria & Application post.
Due to unmitigated fraudulent activity and recent discoveries after security upgrades on BBS, CINMAX is being removed from the Engagement Mining program and being hidden at the operator level.
Our recent upgrades to improve analytics and detect fraudulent activity led us to discover that the owner and key contributors from CINMAX were operating while having previously frozen accounts and attempting to bypass detection from BBS. All accounts associated with this violation of our Terms of Use, in their attempts to bypass platform restrictions, have been frozen. We remain committed to maintaining an ethical and transparent environment on the BBS Network.
Currently all four applicants meet the qualitative metrics outlined in the requirements. However, the pending applicants currently do not meet qualitative requirements for Engagement Mining approval.
In each case, the quality of publications and discussions in the communities failed to reach organically engaging levels, with much of the content being simple pastes of information and shallow discussions around the topic. Pending boards also are currently not providing unique content to bring to the network, with many publications being shared or copied from other boards across the network. Fake accounts were also found, some being joined in multiple of the applicant communities.
Above else, the BBS Network's Engagement Mining program needs to fund unique and engaging communities that will bring real value to the network. Simply reaching a number of users interacting with the board is not sufficient for approval, as healthy growth relies on much more. We encourage these boards to enhance their performance and consider reapplying in the future.
Previous applications have been hidden, new applications must follow the guidelines in the Criteria & Application post here:
With Transition 6, we are also introducing a Probationary status for approved board who begin to fail quantitative metrics.
In the event of a board beginning to fail quantitative, they will be placed into a Probationary status until the next Transition. If the board is unable to reach the requirements during this time, the board's approval status will be reconsidered with the following transition taking into account board's impact and network contribution.
THEORY is being placed under probationary status with Transition 6 as they are failing to meet the following requirement: "28d avg Unique Registered Viewers of 20+"
We value the contributions of all boards, both approved and those working towards approval, in their efforts to build a thriving community within the BBS Network.

We have a lot to come in the coming months, and we can't wait to see how the network grows. Thank you for your continued support to the BBS Network!
