Hello, BBS Network members!

We're excited to roll out Version 4.2.3 of the BBS Network web application. This update introduces a requested new feature with some other changes:

This new feature allows boards to enter an approval mode, in which all posts submitted need to be approved by a moderator or owner before being published on the board. This feature is intended to provide more options for owners in their moderation, including dealing with surging activity or enforcing content standards.

To enable Approval Mode, navigate to the "Edit Board" section in the board dropdown menu. Remember, this feature is only available to owners or those with edit board permissions.

In our mission to streamline and simplify moderation tools, we've brought together separate sections for pending posts, pending comments, and hidden posts into a single "View Pending Content" section. Each category still has its own section for easy navigation between pending comments, posts, and hidden posts.

The Moderators' activity logs have been relocated from the board's "Activity" panel to the separate Moderator Panel found within the board's dropdown menu. In future updates, the Moderator Panel will be expanded to include more organizational and management options for board owners and their administrators.

A small addition to your board's header, but an important one. We've included the total number of posts and members for each board right below the board's header. This will give your viewers a quick snapshot of your board's activity without diving into the "About" section.
