I believe it would be beneficial to include a section that explains the purpose of each flair or indicates how it will be used. This text area could be placed, for example, at the top of flair pages. To ensure it does not go unnoticed, it could be written in a larger font, but perhaps in a slightly muted color. This way, after a user has read it once, it won't continuously draw attention.
