About $BBS staking, and what to do with the rewards 🥲

I saw a few days ago that the Quarter was ending and REWARDS were distributed among those of us who are STAKING, so I went in to see what could be done with those tokens... I had read in some post that you have to pay to claim the rewards, to restake or to extend the period in which you are staking, but I did not know how much $ it is and for that reason I did some simulations with my rewards to see how much fee should i pay to do any of these options with my earned tokens . CLAIM The following image is a screenshot of the staking page, where it shows all that information about amounts, staking start date, number of quarters, etc., so I covered some data so they don't know how many BBS I have there haha. ... But hey, for the example I had to show the "Claimable Rewards". Once you select the CLAIM button, the poster of the second image appears . . Then, when you press the new CLAIM button, your METAMASK opens to confirm the transaction (I skipped the part where we connected the wallet because otherwise I couldn't see my staking position), where we can see the fees that we must pay to claim the tokens... In my case, I should pay almost the same (in $ dollars), as the rewards I'm claiming... So there's a very important decision to make here... *Which I haven't defined yet* . . RESTAKE The same happens with RESTAKE, since clicking the homonymous button, the same sign appears as for CLAIM and the process is the same, with METAMASK and in the image below we can see that the fee is almost the same as for claiming the rewards . Here we can see the fees With this I do not want to argue or say obvious things that we all know about how expensive the ETH network fees are currently or anything like that, but yes, I was surprised by the value of the fees... I expected them to be higher and I understand that there are days and times when they are even lower (I think on Sundays but I don't know at what time, much less in what time zone xD) What I don't know is what happens if I don't collect those rewards... Will I lose them, will they stay there for when I decide to claim? If anyone can clear that up for me, that would be great! One of the potentials I see here on DeWeb

The problem is that the payment, X makes it in Dollars, but with the restrictions that our economy has in the country, the value at which the Dollar is exchanged is much lower than if, for example, the payment could be changed to USDT and then sell on P2P. An important matter is that in order to start "monetizing" your content in X, you must subscribe with $10 each month and thus achieve "verification" and that opens the way for you to be able to monetize your account and receive part of the income generated by the Ads, according to the number of views that your posts obtained in a given time (I understand that they are 2 weeks), so every 14 days you will receive your payment, in the event that they approve your account to monetize... I would like to know how to add a board to a web page? Banner of rewards page (expired?)

When we visit the REWARDS tab, we can see the banner that I leave here below, which has an inscription simplifying the topic of "profit" in the different communities of the platform... . Answer in the poll or if you want to give a personal opinion about it you can make a comment, of course! IMO, and as I understand it, the way EM rewards are calculated are not as mentioned in that banner many months ago and even now with the new formulas it is much more complex than simply "by the number of unique members that post each day" In fact, I don't remember if I was ever aware of rewards being calculated that way... Maybe years ago haha... I think we have good image editors in the community to renew the image xD... Maybe I'm wrong and the way the rewards are calculated is exactly as mentioned there... Small suggestion/bug?

. Here again with a suggestion/bug that maybe no one cares or affects, but it is an intuitive function that I think should be available... . As I show in the video, I was looking at my wallet on BBS and I realized that you can't change the board right there, but it shows you the reputations... So, if it shows you the information of other boards... Why can't we change the board directly there to see the balance of each one without having to go back to the profile, change the board and re-enter the wallet? Otherwise, if that's complicated, I don't see any apparent function for it to show you the reputation of the other boards when you're looking at the wallet. 🧐Jul 13, 2023

Limit of videos per post

Today I ran into a limitation that I had not detected so far!  . It is not possible to add more than one video in the posts... Little bug found 🧐

I was checking my profile on linktr.ee, where I have the links to my different social networks and music 🎶 on various platforms.  One of those platforms is BBS🐙, where I have linked my 🎶BBSSONG🎶 board profile. Today I was checking that each link takes me to the right place ✅️ and I found that the BBS link opens the app and takes me to a page that leaves the message "user not found" 👀, as you can see in the video that I uploaded here.  Then, to verify that it is a problem with the app and not with the link, I copied and pasted it into Brave, which effectively opened my profile on that board, without problems. 🥲 I clarify that I have the latest version of the app on my Samsung A32, with Android Jul 6, 2023

Using the threads to show musical skills

I am uploading videos singing in a very amateurish and homemade way, looking to encourage others to do it too since I only do it with background music and my mobile, without using professional equipment or a music studio, to try to encourage someone to respond to one one of those videos with their own version of the song or a version of their favorite song... So far without success... But I won't give up  . Today I also started sharing the link to one of those videos on Instagram, to see if I can attract traffic from web2 people to BBS and I think some entered, since my video had several views, although without counting as "visits" since none of the people who follow me on Instagram have a BBS account yet... Hopefully some of the musicians who follow me there will soon join me to play with the threads!  . In case there is a musician here, a music lover, or anyone who likes to sing, play an instrument (it is not required to be a professional, just love for music) and wants to participate in these threads that I am uploading, they will be more than welcome to do it!  . Re: Testing the New BBS Update 4.2.2

I was testing from the app using a Samsung A32 (Android) and I could not make use of the functions mentioned in this latest update... I checked if it was a lack of update from the Play Store and I have the latest version.... In the Official announcement post says it's "a popular feature coming from the app, now available on the web app" but I couldn't figure out how to use it... . . Maybe it's because this is the only post now that I think about it .... . Well, if that's it, fixed.... . BUT, I also found that the playbar can't be scrolled so that it starts playing from different positions, it only starts again from the beginning if you want to move it . ○ It seems to me to highlight, how handsome the banner at the top of the full screen of the video looks!  UPDATE Checked that once there is more than one video in the thread, the icon appears to view in full screen.... My experience staking $BBS

Hello everyone! I want to tell you about my experience staking $BBS for the first time, since I had not done it before due to the ETH fees that have to be paid to approve the STAKING in the METAMASK wallet, which hurt a lot but well, I did the sacrifice speculating a little with the future of the project, to have participation in the DAO (which is not yet implemented but we must be close to it and I think it is very important to participate there for anyone who has been here for a long time and has plans to stay here for a long time), it has good performance and also I have been holding tokens for a long time and I prefer to have them there working than to have them stored in a wallet, in short .. . Well, first of all, let me clarify that I had almost all my tokens in an EOS wallet (Wombat), so to send them to Metamask it occurred to me to deposit it on a BBS board and then cash out to my BBS wallet and withdraw it from there. to Metamask, since it has to be on the ETH network and I had it on EOS... Sure, you could have used a bridge to do it, but I have no idea where you can do that with the $BBS token... If anyone knows, it will be more than welcome! . With that movement, I already lost several $BBS, and adding to the 340 used to withdraw to Metamask, I "lost" about 2470 $BBS.... Then, I had to pay fees to send ETH from an exchange to Metamask and that It cost me $9.3 dollars (in ETH). So I already had the necessary BBS and ETH in Metamask, so I proceeded to do the staking, which cost me $17.83 dollars (in ETH), after refreshing the page several times and trying to "fish" for lower fees because it's variable and at one point it was $28 dollars... So it's important to try to pay as little as possible since you end up losing a lot in fees and then depending on the amount of $BBS you have to stake and the number of quarters you keep , perhaps you will not even get to recover the investment... So you have to write down everything that is costing you and analyze very coldly if the staking is going to be carried out or not. . In sum, according to my calculations and notes that I was making during the process, I spent about $51.92 dollars (approximately 5192 BBS at today's price) to be able to do the staking... I think it is a very strong bet for the project and it is because I trust and I like what is happening here. If you want to follow the tutorial that I used, I leave it here below. The step by step is very clear, except that perhaps some steps are omitted and you may have to look in other posts if you are missing a step, as in my case I had my tokens in the EOS network and in this tutorial it did not say How to pass them to the ETH network.Jun 30, 2023

Do you use the app?

Here I show how the app currently works, which has surprised me since the last update, since I think it works faster than the web version on my mobile 🤨 . That's the feeling it's giving me and I'm going to start using it more from today... Checking notification settings

I found an error in the notification options, in the "FOLLOW" filter  If you look, the "super comments" do not appear and also the "tips to comments" continue to appear, which ceased to exist after the super comments were implemented  The option to be notified when a member that I follow gives a tip to a post, I had it disabled, so now I enable it and I'm going to test if it starts notifying me when a person that I follow gives a super comment.... Reflection on an erased board

I was wondering whether or not to do this post until the last moment, but what I have to say may be important and if I let more time pass, it will be more and more off topic...  As many know, I am a musician and I have been sharing music on BBS for a long time in different forms and boards as long as they allowed me, since some were mutating and centralizing their topics for other directions and other more successful topics were also getting EM until now. moment and the music boards were being forgotten by their members and owners too....  . Until CINMAX came along and I had huge hopes at the beginning that it would be a great place to share music and grow together with a community of music lovers and sooner rather than later musicians from all over the world....  . Well, maybe my expectations were a bit high, don't be cruel haha....  . The truth is that I began to see that the owners and mods had a very good initiative and created great competitions, in which I participated many times, but I always saw strange things that caught my attention...  Many posts were quite simple and with little development/relevance (for my taste), and they had a very good engagement in number, but the quality of that engagement was very forced and it was noticeable that it was not very genuine....  Something that I have also experienced in my own posts, where perhaps someone made a good comment, I responded and never received another response... So it seemed at times that it was an "exchange of favors" so that later I would go to their post to make a comment... Also in my comments on other posts I rarely received a response...  The truth is, I began to report some comments that seemed very obvious to me that they had not even read the post (in a board where music is shared, they did not listen to the songs many times either)... So I lost my excitement for the board until a message arrived. event that seemed to me the best in the history of music on BBS...  .  The mission was to make a video/audio with your own voice singing or playing an instrument, making original music and very original content, I thought it was spectacular!!!! And it was a lot of fun, it was a complete success, with a lot of people encouraging themselves to do it and it was great!  But..... After the contest closed, they announced the winners and it turns out that without having announced a change in the criteria for awarding the prizes, they decided to distribute the prize equally to all the participants, which made me feel completely disappointed and I clearly expressed my feeling to them, to which at first I received a mocking response from the main mod and then an explanation and "apology" but the damage was already done... I no longer trusted that team and then I saw that the antifraud team caught them cheating and it all ended suddenly.....  . Many times I feel that BBS needs someone to create a music board with a responsible team and I don't dare to start it myself, due to lack of time.... I hope that soon I can find a place here to share music and discover new ones too, which I consider fundamental to my lifeJun 19, 2023

Tipping feature opportunity?

🤪 I almost gouged my eye out at the beginning haha . I leave here the text of what I talk about in the video and also the example of the application of the tips  I think it can be great for starting a board from scratch, since it might be more "cheap" and efficient to reward the active community that creates content on whatever topic, without having to fight for EM approval (by the way, perhaps the issue of EM could mutate into contributions to the pool of boards that meet certain requirements or are putting together interesting things and with good bases without having to give EM... It occurs to me...) . Of course, the owners of the board would have to "fund the pool" of the board to apply the strategy, but at least they would not be using $ to increase the CPM and could directly focus the investment on those who are helping to found and form the foundations of that community. . To answer another question, I have already received tips on METABBS only up to now because I haven't been very active in other communities maybe, but maybe they will come soon . An example that occurs to me is that of BBS members who are neither owners nor moderators but who have been active in communities that later obtained the EM program, as has happened to me in some cases, which helps some boards with many hours of daily activity to help grow and if after a short time prizes are not given to active members, little by little they become demotivated and many leave the board and even the platform, so that The reward for your activity may be delayed until the EM is achieved or the chance of one day reaching the goal may even disappear. For this reason, I think that perhaps this being able to give tips can improve the foundation stage of the boards and also, of course, maintain those that already have EM active. ⭐️⭐️Thoughts on the last update ⭐️⭐️

I've been thinking and reading a lot about the topic of the last update, and the point that it lowered the cost per thousand (CPM) that doesn't have everyone kind of fussed, dismayed, etc...  Perhaps we still do not fully understand what all this change means and what is the potential, what is it that they are trying to test with the platform now, and I think that like all of us who have been here on the BBS for a long time, they bring a test from time to time , change something, let it run for a while and see how it behaves... Therefore, it is very valuable to have debates about it and deeply discuss what these changes mean.  . I think this way of rewarding content generators is one of the healthiest I've seen so far...  If we review the history of how the distribution of $BBS has been over time (in my case I have been active here since December 2021), it has been changing a lot since different strategies have been tried looking to "sharpen the pencil", control spam, bounty hunters (they want $ easy and fast), among others... To improve the economy and sustainability of the project in my opinion...  For example, when I came to BBS, you earned $ buying and selling posts or that's what was believed... Then they changed us to what you earned from visiting posts and that's how small things and big things like "the great reset", some more traumatic than others 🤣... Up to the point where we are now, it is clearly necessary that we discuss it and give our different points of view for the good and future of the project 🫶..   . Some time ago BBS was a real shrink, a hunt to earn 50 cents in the dollar and now this way of receiving rewards seems to me that it will work very well because if they really want to generate good content they will have to make an effort, really create content original!  As a current example, whatever I am uploading on the CINMAX board (music), it is my own content (sometimes I upload a song that is not mine but I like it), and I think that if those who generate content start to be rewarded unique and original without the need to be a partner and be active on the platform generating traffic, you can attract other original creators who are not very interested in visiting other posts to meet requirements towards partners or for others to "return" the display to your posts...  .
