Hello BBSers (I think that's how you spell it). It's been some time since I last shared a thought around here. But well, now that you're continuing with the thoughts and opinions, well I wanted to update you on what I have in mind, as sort of an opinion/theory of what will happen during this 2024. We are already in the middle of February, the second month of the year and we still haven't seen any news or even a sign of what Eyal and his team are thinking of doing with BBS Network. So far what we have known is a couple of thoughts, a voting bot and a poor explanation of what they are going to do with a certain brand or sponsor.

Before I mention to you what I have in mind (as an active user and Partner of METABBS and other communities), I would like to make it clear to everyone who sees this post that: BBS Network will not be what it was before. That time when we could all earn money by sharing and interacting in the different BBS Network Boards is over. Now, among the few tens of us that are left and a few of us that make life in this place, we know very well that the platform is just a mere shadow of what it was 1 or 2 years ago.

This, on the one hand, is good, since practically those who uploaded junk content, those who committed fraud and those who SPAMmed in the communities are gone. But, on the other hand, it's bad as we don't have any new user traffic interested in joining the platform. I see every 1 or 2 new ones per month and that is not good, less for a platform that supposedly sells itself as a SOCIAL NETWORK. With this clear, apart from emphasizing that the origin of all this decline was due to the same BBS Network team that stopped the development of it and have not worked on the platform; we can move on to the following.

Maybe and I was a bit hasty in saying that the BBS Network team is not working right now and surely they are doing something in secret that for the next quarter they will release a new update for the platform that will revolutionize everything we know so far and will make many new people interested in joining and many brands will turn their eyes to invest in BBS Network. This possibility is still on the table for some of us who are now sitting around waiting for something new anchored in the METABBS startup.

But, from what I see, I think that idea is more of just a pipe dream for the old-timers and nostalgics who miss the platform and what it used to be. What may happen is that we end up being forgotten little by little, in between speech after general speech by Eyal talking about topics like Web3, Blockchain Technology, the way social rules revolutionized media, etc. Those typical speeches a politician throws out to buy people's votes to get their hopes up for something that is NOT certain to come.

The funds will eventually run out, and when that happens, the few of us who are here will go to another place where we can capitalize our activity. Those of us who stay will be purely out of wishful thinking or nostalgia, with the hope of a new announcement and the fear of seeing the project die a complete death with their own eyes. Something that was done well at the beginning but that due to negligence, stubbornness and overconfidence on the part of the CEO and his team ended up decaying, like an avalanche.
