Welcome to Transition 5 of the Engagement Mining program!
After the Engagement Mining reward distribution changes implemented in Version 4.1, and last month’s criteria changes to the Engagement Mining program, we are once again actively curating the Engagement Mining approvals.
Following the updated Engagement Mining criteria, there is one board approved for Engagement Mining, and four boards removed from the program..
Full information regarding the criteria, and the application process, can be found here in the Engagement Mining Criteria & Application post:
One pending board has met all Engagement Mining criteria for approval and will join the program:
CINMAX
Songs / Naat&Qawali / Singer Reviews
“CINMAX is a community that is focused on Music and News about Singers. On our board, we discuss different types of Music, Musical Instrument and anything related to the music world members can share in CINMAX.
The goal of CINMAX is to make a community that unites all music lovers from across the world where we can discuss the favourite Singer news, updates about songs، albums, and where members can showcase their talent and a lot more. We are aiming to build a genuine community where all the music lovers will enjoy the community.”
Four boards are being removed in this transition for not meeting one or more of the Engagement Mining Criteria for approval.
UUNET has been removed from the program as they do not meet either requirement of having an average of 35 Daily Active Users or an average of 20 Unique Registered Viewers.
These boards have also been removed as they do not meet the requirement of having a daily average of 20 Unique Registered Viewers.
We appreciate the contribution these boards have made to BBS Network thus far, and encourage these boards to continue working towards meeting the criteria requirements and to reapply for approval in the future.
We are still analyzing the Engagement Mining reward distribution and criteria, and may have further optimizations to come. In particular, we have been looking at implementing a fraud-resistant method to account for unregistered user activity along with registered member activity for boards.
Currently, all rewards metrics are based on member activity, but do not include any weight towards unregistered board traffic. We believe that this is an essential metric to include, as it is the most commonly used metric for advertising services across the web, but need further data and feedback on the weight the metric should be given in the formula and the potential network impact it would carry. Let us know your thoughts!
Thank you to all who have applied and to those who continue to build strong communities on BBS Network. We look forward to the next transition in June!
