    BBS solves 3 unique problems:

    1. BBS rewards content creators, BBS owners, and other  stakeholders for their contributions to the community.

Currently, the vast majority of online content and community management is done as a hobby. Countless hours are spent online out of passion, with no option for monetary compensation. BBS tokenomics allow for all parties involved in contributing to, participating in and maintaining a community to be rewarded for their contributions and efforts. This makes for much healthier communities with more quality content and less annoying spam.

    2. BBS is censorship resistant.

On platforms like Reddit, Facebook & YouTube, censorship guidelines are shifting day by day giving an increasing amount of power to large tech companies and their various considerations. On BBS there is no central authority deciding which content is allowed and which isn’t. There are multiple operators to choose from and each community can choose to run their BBS on an operator whose accepted use policy is in line with their values. Users are also free to join BBS communities whose policies align with theirs needs and leave others that don’t.

    3. BBS is much harder to manipulate.

BBS Network utilizes public database technologies, which provides a transparent view of activity across the network. Potential manipulators can be quickly identified in a public environment. Content curation across BBS Network is accomplished by members promoting posts and predicting the views or visits they will receive by staking their earned Reputation. This promotion system rewards good predictions with more Reputation,  allowing quality curators to stand out and is much more resistant to manipulation than legacy social networks.
