Version 4.0.10 - Personal Feed & More

Welcome back BBSers,

Version 4.0.10 has been released bringing us several new changes!

4.0.10 introduces the long-awaited Personal Feed feature.

The Personal Feed brings members a new BBS homepage, showing posts from joined boards, followed members, and posts that may be of interest! This iteration of the personal feed combines an AI discovery algorithm to find new content for you, along with the content from joined boards and followed members. All post interactions can be accessed directly from the post feed, including reactions, tips, and promotions!

Individual board feeds remain as they were, and options to disable algorithmic content suggestions will be added in a future release

Along with the personal feed, we are also introducing new notification settings for followed members.

New notifications have been included for showing you when a followed member promotes or tips a post or comment.

These notifications allow members to utilize the promotion and tip features to share content with their followers. Each of these notifications can be disabled or enabled in the Follow section of the Notification Settings.

What will you share with your BBS followers?

We are also introducing a significant change to the tagging mechanism:

Viewing a post from a tag notification will no longer apply a visit or impression to the post. This change ensures that the usage of tagging is purely organic, and removes any incentive to tag users irrelevantly.

Please note that this change does NOT affect visits from any other notification.

Another commonly requested feature, visual indicators for direct messages has also been added with 4.0.10

As with notifications, members will now see a visual red dot on the Messages button when there is a new message available to see!

We can’t wait to hear everyone’s thoughts on the new update and the Personal Feed feature!
