Hello! I would like to share a suggestion with you that I noted down a few months ago and have been thinking about from time to time since then. Its name is "Managerial Accounts".
In business life, people become managers of certain companies, organizations, or institutions. They occupy that position/chair. They represent the organization and wear its uniform during working hours. In some organizations, managers wear clothes that distinguish them from other employees, such as special badges or colored neck cards. Judges and, in some countries, lawyers also wear robes.
However, when these people leave their workplaces and go to a bar to hang out with their close friends in the evening, they take off their uniforms, clothes, badges, and robes that they wear at work and live their private lives. Now they sit on a bar stool, not on the chair of the organization they manage. They have fun at the bar without the limitations of their professional identities. Of course, the lives of popular celebrities are not included in this scenario. However, we are giving an example based on 99% of people. Exceptions do not invalidate the general rule.
If people were to wear the specific clothes and symbols of their managerial positions even in their private lives, their personal lives would be greatly restricted. Similarly, their actions during their private lives would affect the organization they manage.
Here at BBS Network, we are creating a social media platform that closely resembles real life. And as BBS Network develops, this resemblance increases, and as the resemblance increases, BBS Network evolves. It becomes easier to use and brings more benefits to users.
In addition, BBS Network incorporates some useful features that have become traditional in other existing social media platforms. 'Managerial accounts' are one such feature. For example, large companies have multiple managerial accounts. For instance, a company called 'X Firm' may have various social media accounts like 'sales@xfirm,' 'humanresources@xfirm,' 'advertisement@xfirm,' 'advertorial@xfirm,' and so on. This is also a requirement for some organizations.
Another issue is that an employee in a managerial position should not represent the position and/or organization after leaving the job. Furthermore, the conflict and animosity that may arise between a former manager and the organization should not negate the contributions the manager made to that organization. For example, when a manager leaves their position, they should not be able to delete, hide, or manipulate (edit) their previous posts and publications on social media.
A feature similar to the transfer of the White House's Twitter accounts, "POTUS" (President of the United States) and "FLOTUS" (First Lady of the United States), to the new holders after elections is needed. I have been wishing for such a feature for a long time, and it is not difficult to imagine that groups, organizations, and companies using BBS Network also need such a feature.
For this purpose -as I mentioned for the first time in our conversation on Weekly Chat Twitter Space a few months ago- here are some possible features of 'Managerial Accounts':
I might have forgotten the most important thing:
Edit/added:
Administrative accounts are like gloves that can be used for various tasks. You can use some for electrical work, some for garbage handling, and some for cooking. Of course, this is a metaphor, but it refers to the infinite possibilities of needs and desires that groups, communities, brands, companies, and associations using or wanting to use the BBS Network may have now, in the near future, and in the distant future.
