BBS spam, no doubt a very unpopular opinion

When I am creating content on BBS I think to myself:
Is this relevant?
Is it engaging?
Are there points here for discussion?
Is there room for criticism?
Am I bringing to the board content that I have invested time in and am proud of?
I wonder when BBS begins to be showcased to investors, what they will think about the content and the engagement. Will they look here and see a community that is worth investing in? Will they see great content, and comments, and friendships and passion? Or will they see human spam bots rushing to fill their pockets at the expense of the very platform we claim to care so much about.

I think BBS Network runs in cycles, and I hope we survive this one. I see so many members who create good content and are drifting because their posts are lost amongst reams of spam posts.
Members who are capable of really great content- tutorials, analysis, a whole host of things they can bring to the table but they have succumb to "away for a break" and "let's engage", because the system rewards that content just the same.
Small steps are being taken to reward good content, good engagement, and good comments. The bigger picture is becomming more apparent, and the move to specialist boards brings great opportunities. Maybe BBS Network was only the starting point, and this is the natural and organic path for the platform. Is this as far as content and engagement go here?
For now, we'll have to trust the process and those at the top who know far more, because we believe in the platform and we want to see it succeed.
