A high speed single-vehicle collision is being investigated as a hit-and-run after leaving a path of destruction in Hancock Park early Tuesday morning.

Single-Vehicle High Speed Crash in Hancock Park

Hancock Park: A single-vehicle traffic collision occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 2:33 a.m. at 5077 Wilshire Boulevard in Hancock Park. The Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire Division, Los Angeles Fire Department, and LAPD West Traffic responded to the location. 

A dark colored SUV impacted the side of Beverly Hills BMW breaking out four large windows, then plowed into two palm trees, a signal box, hydrant, bus stop, and finally coming to rest on its side. The incident is currently being investigated as a hit-and-run. LAFD was able to shut down the hydrant. Los Angeles Department of Water and Power was at the location handling power poles and traffic lights. No suspect description is available at this time.
