GLENDALE, Calif., Aug. 24 (KNN) – A bear drew crowds of onlookers Saturday afternoon after it was spotted wandering through a residential neighborhood in Glendale.
Around 12:40 p.m., residents reported seeing the animal in the 1400 block of Beaudry Avenue. The bear was observed rolling around on lawns, eating an apple and other vegetation, lounging in front yards, climbing trees, and walking along sidewalks and through properties.
Curious neighbors stopped to take photos and videos, some from their cars and others on foot or bicycles, as the bear meandered through the area. Social media posts and Ring app alerts quickly spread word of the unusual visitor, prompting more residents to step outside and catch a glimpse.
Authorities were not seen, and it is unclear if wildlife officials were contacted.
No injuries were reported during the sighting.
