WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Nov. 27 (KNN) — A body floating in MacArthur Park Lake early Monday morning prompted calls to the Los Angeles Police Department’s Rampart Division and a response also from the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Authorities arrived at the lake around 1:30 a.m. in the 600 block of South Alvarado Street in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles where a body was found floating near the middle of the lake.
The body eventually floated close enough to shore where firefighters were able to recover it.
It is unclear at this time if this was an accidental drowning or if foul play was involved.
A death investigation is underway, according to LAPD Officer Eisenman.
