WESTLAKE, LOS ANGELES, Aug. 5 (KNN) – An investigation is underway into the shooting death of a victim in Westlake in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Division units responded around 3 a.m. to the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Alvarado Street for reports of a shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a male victim down in the road just east of the intersection. The Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
Witnesses reported seeing the suspect fleeing west toward the intersection.
