García played big role in bringing Texas franchise its first World Series championship. He's found a new home in the City of Brotherly Love.

Well, Texas Rangers fans, it's time to say goodbye to Adolis García.

On Tuesday morning, the Rangers' organization posted a very classy thank-you message on X for García and his play with the ballclub.

When García first joined the Rangers in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals, no one really knew how much of an impact he'd have on the team. Well, needless to say, García showed up in a big, big way as the Rangers won their first World Series championship in 2023.

"Thank you, Adolis, for providing endless energy, enthusiasm and passion to our club over the past six seasons," the organization's post on X said. "You gave us the greatest postseason performance of all-time and now, the history of our organization can’t be told without El Bombi. Best of luck in your next chapter". A blue heart emoji was posted at the end of the message.

But the Rangers had one more tribute to him as well on Tuesday.

In a two-minute tribute video, García is shown in some of his best moments with Texas: His first home run with the team, key home runs, and defensive play in the outfield. And, of course, highlights from the Rangers' magical run to hoist The Commissioner's Trophy after winning the World Series.

It's safe to say that the Rangers' organization was quite happy to have El Bombi as part of their success.

Now, though, García will be playing for a National League team. The Philadelphia Phillies have added García to their lineup. The Phillies' organization is going to tuck García right in that roster with Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber.

Talk about the rich getting richer.

In 2025, García had a slash line of .227/.394/.685 with 19 home runs and 75 RBIs. But that 2023 season will go down as his high point with the organization.

Look at what he did. García had a slash line that season of .245/.508/.836 with 39 home runs and 107 RBIs. He earned his second All-Star appearance that season and also earned a Gold Glove for his play in the outfield.

García did spend time playing in right field, but also was available as a designated hitter for the Rangers.

He's going to get a fresh start with Philadelphia and Phillies manager Rob Thomson sure hopes that García might be able to replicate those 2023 numbers once again.
