With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kevin Porter Jr. out, the Milwaukee Bucks have to adapt a different style

Even though the Milwaukee Bucks continue to be in the headlines as they navigate trade offers for their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the reality is they still have games to play amid all of this. With Giannis sidelined and Kevin Porter Jr. as well, the Bucks have struggled as of late.

Milwaukee has lost their last five games and is 1-8 in their past nine games. Even though they've had some solid performances from Kyle Kuzma and Myles Turner along the way, it hasn't even been enough to beat some of the worst teams in the NBA this season like the Washington Wizards.

Ryan Rollins Addresses Adaptations

Perhaps the most consistent player during this losing stretch has been Ryan Rollins, who is averaging 21.8 points per game over his last four contests. A Most Improved Player candidate this season, Rollins has taken on a major role with the Bucks this season and should be a key piece for them regardless of Giannis' future.

After the loss to the Celtics, where they scored a season-low, Rollins was asked about the team's approach on offense without their two top scorers, Giannis and Porter Jr., being out.

"Ball movement is the best route for us since they are out now. I think when we do that, we get good shots most of the time. But, I think, sometimes we pass up some shots that we should shoot," Rollins said.

Rollins has been doing his part to help move the ball, with 15 assists over his past two contests, with Kuzma taking on a bigger playmaking role as of late.

"Just to, you know, get more shots up. I think that's a big thing too. We're just not shooting as much to get extra points, even when we're missing," he added.

The Bucks might still be trying to make the playoffs at this point, but in reality, they'll be better off being in the lottery this season and giving themselves a chance at a Top 5 pick if the New Orleans Pelicans' pick falls in their favor. If Giannis isn't moved before Thursday, he's more than likely being moved in the offseason.

On the bright side, injuries to Giannis and Porter Jr. allow the Bucks to open up opportunities for players like Pete Nance and see what he can bring to this team in the future.

However, as long as Giannis and Porter Jr. aren't on the floor, it's going to be difficult for this Bucks team to win anything outside of a few games going forward.
